Today was pretty much a normal day. I woke up, and only a few shows were on Hulu. It would have seemed as if my Internet was acting stupid, but quickly resolved, so it was of little consequence. I didn’t do much for the day, and replied to the person that wrote me asking about my brother. The only solution I gave the person was I would print out the email for my brother to read.
I was in a bit of pain, and was off of the PC much of the day. This is why I would love to replace this PC when I can. Although such prospects of doing so are a bit slim. If I am lucky, with things working out perfectly (they never do), I would be able to replace it with something basic probably towards the end of the year.

Today was a bit of a dull day. However, I did make the most of it. First, I had to get a few groceries. I of course did this as early as possible in the morning. Afterwards, I went to the post office for a couple of reasons. The first reason was to return the defective phone I received on Wednesday. I am going to get a refund, but had to waste $10 to mail it to the place I bought it. So, that $65 for the waste of time. $10 to receive the waste of time, and $10 to return the waste of time. In the past 2 months of trying to get a VOIP phone from various eBay sellers, I wasted about $50 that I would never get back, and that would be only after I get this refund.
So, I mailed off the wifi phone, and got the last disc of Season 4 of Farscape. As the previous seasons, there is a cliff hanger, but this is the last season, so I am hoping the mini-series “Farscape: The Peacekeeper’s Wars” would finalize everything.

I was looking around for an Android device that is hopefully not butchered such as the unfortunate Archos 5. Well, I came across something unique. There is the Dell Mini 5 which is a 5” Android device, but at a whopping $1,000. I also seen some news that there is a 10” HP slate that would come out for $600.
So, we know that bigger is better (at least with PC screens), but it would seem they are also cheaper. Now, I would still want an Android device as my media player, but simply put, I would not be buying a Dell Mini 5, especially if they go with the everyone worthy is wealthy attitude.

Today was a bit of a dull day. I had managed to get a couple of blog postings up. I also tried to use two apps from the Android Market, but neither one of them met my needs. I therefore quickly removed them before the 24 hour grace period.
I also spent much of the day listening to music through Pandora. I heard a wide range of music that I wish I could just go out and buy. However, at least they are playing on Pandora. This leads me to another reason to hate the iPod Nano I have.

As some who visits my site regularly might know – I am looking for a respectable replacement for my iPod Nano. So far, the best option is a butchered version of Android on the Archos 5 Internet tablet. I say butchered since it doesn’t seem to have some core features from what you would expect on Android such as Google Contacts, Google Maps, and Android. Archos says that since there isn’t a camera and the screen is higher resolution, support isn’t available for many features we come to love.
There is a rumor that the Archos 7 running Android is to come out in March. Based on the older version of the Archos 7, it would have a 7.48” x 4.33” dimension, and this one would have a camera that might or might function as a web cam. And since Android 2.0+ supports high def resolutions, this as well as the Archos 5 should have 2.0. A market price of the 8GB model should be about $250 which by price should be more attractive since this is the same price as the Archos 5.
